      Family owned & operated since 1870

      J.G. Lohrisch Funeral Directors was founded in 1870 by Emil Lohrisch, and is now the oldest Queensland Family owned and operated funeral home. Richard’s grandfather, Albert Lohrisch carried on the family business until 1954 when Richard’s father Jack Gladstone Lohrisch began working in the business until his passing in 1974.

      Today J.G. Lohrisch is owned and operated by Richard and Victoria (Vicky) Lohrisch, they feel very proud to offer a personalised, sensitive, flexible, compassionate & dignified funeral service. Operating a fleet of two hearses, transfer vehicles and a mourning car. Families are always guaranteed a professional service at all times. Richard and Vicky take pride in their staff who are dedicated to serving individual family needs, be they, religious, cultural, socio-economic or military.

      J.G. Lohrisch Funeral Directors and staff understand the pain the death of a loved one causes and they therefore aim to make the time as easy and as hassle free for the grieving family.
