The Adelaide Lymphoedema Clinic was established in 1987 in Norwood, South Australia, by lymphoedema physiotherapist, Michael Mason, now retired. He was the first physiotherapist in Australia to treat lymphoedema patients with Complex Physical Therapy (CPT)

Provide assessment & treatment for primary & secondary lymphoedema, venous oedema & all forms of post-surgical swelling. Supply & fit many styles of compression garments & socks for flying. Expert experienced therapists provide scar management & ulcer treatment, offer exercise routines, education & advice for patients with swelling & those at risk of developing conditions due to trauma or surgery.

Swollen legs? Survived cancer? Arm swelling? Had surgery? We can help! Symptoms include any combination of aching, heaviness, tightness, itching, prickling, numbness, pins & needles, skin redness, infection or pain. Our intensive treatment programme for patients with lymphoedema or venous oedema reduces swelling, improves lymphatic drainage, increases mobility & relieves aching, pain & incapacity.

Doctor referral is not essential to obtain treatment or to obtain a rebate from your private health fund. Each patient is assessed individually & treated according to their condition, age & general state of health. As well as reducing swelling, we offer advice on how you can adapt your lifestyle to cope with this potentially disabling condition & home management program of self-massage to assist.
