      Thornton Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital in Thornton that provides exclusive health care to small animals, including pocket pets. We provide individualised treatment plans to ensure the best care for your pets. Our mission is to provide the highest standards with integrity and compassion. We offer a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures that comprise in-house testing, diagnostics, and external laboratories. We are also an accredited cat-friendly clinic. You may reach us after hours for any kind of pet emergency, too.

      From vaccinations to surgeries, we are equipped to provide them all. We offer tailored vaccination schedules with annual heartworm injections, parasite treatment, etc. Our desexing process includes intraoperative fluid support, anesthetic monitoring, and tailored pain relief plans. We also offer comprehensive oral and dental healthcare. Furthermore, we provide soft tissue surgery, gastrointestinal and urogenital treatments, fracture repair, cruciate ligament repair, and more surgeries and orthopedic treatments.

      Our extensive diagnostic and therapeutic services include electrocardiography, ultrasound, X-ray, microscopy, and other in-house lab services like serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation analysis, etc. We are equipped with a well-stocked pharmacy, an in-house surgery suite, separate cat and dog consulting rooms, cat-only wards, a closely supervised hospitalisation area, and indoor kennels with outdoor walking areas.

      How do I book my puppy in for classes?

      To book your puppy in for preschool or for any questions you can contact Sheree on either our Thornton or Irrawang branch or speak to one of our friendly staff members.


      How do we train our puppies?

      We train by positive reinforcement which is simply rewarding the dog with something they desire (yummy treats) when they behave appropriately or complete the task that is asked of them.
