How far in advance do I need to book a Removal Company?
As soon as possible. Get a number of quotes and once you are happy and comfortable with the company book A.S.A.P, this way you will get the removal company of your choice. Remember a good removal company will get booked up weeks in advance. The end of the month and Friday is the most popular time so try to book mid-week and mid month, some removal companies will give you a discount if you pick this time.
2) Do I need to pull apart any furniture so that it can be moved?
Certain items may need to be dismantled, however each load is different and the team leader will make the decision on site. As part of our service our friendly and experienced team have a complete tool kit and can pull apart any pieces ourselves to save you time and effort.
7) Can you move my plants?
Hudson Removals can move your plants however moving pants interstate tightly governed and restricted by State laws. Also moving plants overseas is prohibited
1) How is my furniture going to be protected?
Hudson ensures your belongings are well looked after. All furniture is wrapped by our professionals in specialised pads/blankets to make sure goods are protected when being relocated.
What packages are available from removal companies?
Most removal companies will offer a number of services. The first is full pack where they will pack all items in the house, provide all packing materials and if required place items into the new property as requested. The second is part pack where they will pack only fragile and delicate items, you then pack most of the other items yourself. The next is just the removal where you pack all your boxes and they move them along with your furniture.
3) What needs to be done before the team arrives?
Please discuss this with us while during the quote, as each service is different depending on your needs. We recommend you defrost the fridge, prepare/dismantle big furniture pieces such as desks, beds, bookcases, tables etc. (or we can do that for you) and make sure all items are packed.
Can Hudsons pack my belongings for me?
To avoid major disruption to your day-to-day life, our professional moving staff can pack your household items. The use of high-quality specialised packing materials assures you that your goods are safely prepared for the move. Quality of packing is the key to a successful relocation. Our staff are fully trained moving professionals who can pack everything in your home.
Do you have boxes for hanging clothes?
We can bring out porta-robes on the day of your move, and bring them back on completion of the job.
Do you charge hourly or for the whole job?
We can do either one.
8) If I am unable to move after making a booking how can I cancel the service? Is there a fee?
We understand that things happen, if you need to cancel our service please contact us 24hours before. There is no cancellation fee.

I booked with Hudsons weeks in advance and each time I called, Natalie was either busy driving or at a party. She text a few days before moving saying they would arrive at 7am on the day of moving and less than 24 hours before I was moving I called to make sure she was going to be there and she said her husband and her were actually away and she would try and arrange someone else. I never heard back from her. She’s aggressive when she communicates. She will ask for a deposit if the truck has to park anywhere that’s not a designated parking spot. Do NOT book with this company if you need reliability

I can’t explain how angry I am at these people. I booked their service two weeks in advance, never received any email confirmation, so I called again the week prior to the moving and confirmed everything was fine. The Sunday before the moving they called me asking for parking, and requiring to find a 2-car spot in an area where it’s impossible to find even one car spot let alone two. I tell them that in our building (140 units) people move all the time and the building manager advised to park in the back lane “as everyone else” because there are no other options in the area. Nathalie asked me to then get a 3 man charging an extra fee which was not it was agreed two weeks prior. In the end, I needed to call someone else on the day. Also she was supposed to arrive at 9:30-10:00 am and they had another booking and were not there at that time. The worst service ever, and stop calling people darling, they’re your customers not your darlings. Get your acts together and start providing a decent service. You left myself a my 4-month pregnant in big trouble.

I recently used Natalie, Alfred and the team to pack up and move us and they were fantastic. I've never had such a calm, stress free move. They are true professionals, cheerful and careful and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.
