About Impact Plants

AT A GLANCE
  • Specialising in native & tropical plants
  • Open 7 days per week
  • 30 years of experience
  • A wider range of extraordinary plants
  • Local landscape designers
We bring botanical excellence to your doorstep with unmatched quality and expertise.
The nursery at Impact Plants was started by us the current owners, Paul and Elizabeth Anderson in 1982 at the rear of our parent's home in Empire Bay. We started selling tropical plants at various markets and supplying rare palms and cycads to local and international collectors. We also hired out advanced tropical indoor plants to businesses throughout the Central Coast.

The business developed from an early fascination in tropical plants, especially palms, ferns, cycads and bromeliads. Over the last twenty five years Paul has held a number of official positions in the International Palm Society, the NSW branch of the Palm and Cycad societies of Australia and the Tropical Garden Society of Sydney.

We specialise in advanced architectural subtropical foliage plants such as palms, cycads, dracaenas and yuccas with an extensive range of compatible tropical style plant material such as bromeliads, ferns, philodendrons and bamboo and gingers.

Our passion at Impact Plants is enriching the pallet of local landscape designers and keen gardeners with a wider range of extraordinary plants than is available in the average retail nursery or chain store. We achieve this through our 30 years of experience of evaluating spectacular subtropical plants for their suitability to local conditions.
