A deadlock is a lock that requires a key to open the door/window from the inside, thus preventing an intruder from exiting freely with your valuables.
Yes, as long as all existing locks are of the same brand or key profile they can be re-keyed to suit just the one key. If not then we can install matching locksets to make it so.
A master key is the top key in the chain of command inside a master key system, these systems are commonly used amongst businesses and multiple property owners. It allows one key to operate say every office in the building whilst the servant keys are distributed to the employees that will only operate the doors allocated to them such as their individual office, main entry and the bathroom.
We can supply & install a registered key system that will allow you to keep track of your keys. Sometimes but not always registered keys are more resistant to picking, drilling and other forms of attack. Sometimes you may just want to make sure no-one is getting keys cut without your authority.
Yes, Allcare Locksmiths & Security can design a system so that you can partially arm your system at night. Usually this is a perimeter system, where the doors and windows only are armed, and the internal PIR's are switched off so that family members can walk around without setting off the alarm.
Australian standards state that "routine visits to ensure the maintenance of the alarm system installed in the client's premises shall be made by an authorised representative of an alarm company at a minimum rates of once per year with no more than 13 months between visits.
If your phone system is cabled correctly, the operation of your alarm should not be affected by Internet Broadband (ADSL) or digital interactive Pay-TV. However, appropriate line filters may be necessary and if you have problems in this area please give us a call as not all telephone technicians are expert in this area.
A PIR is an abbreviation for a Passive Infra-Red detector. Most alarm systems will have several passive infra-red detectors (PIR's). A basic PIR will detect changes in heat in a room such as occurs when a person asks through the area.
