BJJ was made world famous in November 1993 when Royce Gracie from Brazil won the inaugural UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championships. BJJ is a ground fighting system that emphasises position, control and submissions such as chokes, arm locks and leg locks. Thai Kickboxing: Thai Kickboxing is the national sport of Thailand. Do Muay Thai kick boxing training for all your stand up needs including punching, kicking, elbows and knees. Wrestling: Learn the essential takedowns and throws and counters required when in the clinch or to take your opponent down to the ground.
Kings Academy Of Martial Arts have, like so many others, come to the conclusion that to be truly effective one must cross train and by offering our students classes in mixed martial arts style training we are giving them an opportunity to truly prepare themselves for real world situations against real world attackers. Boxing: Boxing is the martial art of striking using only your punches. Kings Academy Of Martial Arts has a world class boxing program headed by renowned boxing coach Paul Grech. Paul has coached numerous state, national and world champion boxers.
Hot Yoga: We offer hot yoga classes at Kings Academy Of Martial Arts. Hot yoga is a great form of exercise to increase your strength, flexibility, coordination and cardiovascular health. Hot yoga also increases your self-confidence and overall wellbeing. Hot yoga believes in strength in your hara (belly), laughter and smiles, positive mind and gratitude. Do I have to compete?
Absolutely not. We love people training and enjoying BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling and MMA regardless of the reason. Although we pride ourselves in having active fighters at the gym, we will never force anyone to compete who is not interested.
What age group do you deal with?
All age group.
What do we teach at Kings Academy Of Martial Arts?
At Kings Academy Of Martial Arts we have broad range of Martial Arts to choose from. We teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, Wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Hot Yoga. You can read more about each style by going to the individual pages. We have classes for Men and Women, Kids, Teens and Adults. Kids 3-5yrs & 6-12yrs, Teens 13-16yrs, & Adults 13yrs and up. We have classes for everyone.
What do I need to bring?
For your first session, just wear something comfortable you can punch, kick, wrestle and train in. Bring a towel. Depending on which class you’re doing, if you own a Gi or boxing gloves, bring them along too. We recommend you bring a bottle of water along as well, though we do have drinks available for purchase.
Where are we located?
Kings Academy Of Martial Arts services the Sydney region based in Western Sydney in the district of Liverpool and located in Moorebank. Our address is 2/ 331 Newbridge Road Moorebank, NSW.
I don’t have a Gi or gloves, can I come anyway?
Of course. In our Muay Thai boxing class, we are happy to supply gloves for beginners, but after that, once you become a member, we recommend purchasing gloves at our pro shop. It’s like using someone else’s shoes, so it’s not something you want to do permanently — though our equipment is cleaned regularly. For BJJ class, no Gi is required when you begin, but once you decide to commit to training, we recommend you purchase one from our pro shop so you’re not missing out on any of the technique.
Can I compete?
Of course. Once you’ve got your fundamentals in place and started doing the intermediate classes, you can discuss with the instructor and coach about jumping in and competing. We expect anyone who wants to compete to do extra fitness training, attend any competition or sparring classes and be ready both mentally and physically. If you want to compete, it’s our job to get you there.
I’m just starting, can I come along to the intermediate or MMA class?
Sorry, but to do the intermediate or MMA classes, you need to grade before you can attend, not only for your own safety but for the benefit of the group. Once you have a grasp of the fundamentals and grade, then you’ll be ready for the intermediate classes. If you have trained elsewhere previously, when you come in, have a chat with one of our staff or instructors about doing the intermediate or MMA classes.
How do I book a class?
To book in for your free trial you have the following options: 1. Go to our Contact Us page. 2. Send us an email: [email protected], 3. Call us or send a message with your details and the class you wish to attend: (02) 8776 0964, Please keep in mind you must pre-book to come in to start your free trial.
Can I come late to class?
Unless there is an emergency or you have spoken to one of the staff, please be prompt. Not only is it impolite, but you will miss out on vital parts of the session like the warmup or introduction. It’s also not fair on the trainers who are preparing the classes and the students who have turned up on time.

When I joined Kings academy I was a skinny kid with little experience in the intricacies of fighting. Now, after more than two years of consistent training at Kings I've developed more confidence, skill, and fitness which allows me to lead a more peaceful life and to be victorious in competition. More importantly, I finally understand what it feels like to have a passion, a thing I will always be grateful to my coaches for.
Still skinny though

When trying to find the right martial arts gym, I took a lot of things into consideration. Timetable, facilities, location, price, etc. I did a lot of research on places close to home and Kings Academy ticked all my boxes. After doing a 1-week free trial (another tick), I was sold. The space is open, you have access to a seperate gym in the back with weights, the staff/coaches are amicable and informative, and they emphasis a lot on personal hygiene. I have recommended King's to my family and friends and truly believe they're worth checking out!

Having been around different schools, i can say this is easily the best Martial Arts academy out there. Classes here are taught in a very structured manner and the facilities are excellent (huge mat area, Sauna, gym, Hot Yoga room etc...).
Coaches here are not just highly skilled but also friendly and approachable. Elvis Sinosic who is the head of school and a former UFC fighter takes most of the adult classes (including beginner). He is motivated, engaging and enthusiastic about teaching.

King's Academy is a home away from home. Everyone there is family - we're all working together to help each other get better. The trainers are not only amazingly skilled, but super chilled out, and the students here are cool too. Definitely worth a visit for anyone from a martial arts newbie to a fanatic.

One of the best schools in NSW and definitely the most facilitated plus spacious complex in the Southwest! The environment is so friendly, welcoming and warm. The Kings Academy team lead by Elvis provides first class instruction and a safe friendly training environment. Students currently training at the school are welcoming friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is awesome and "we are a team" feeling every time we walk through the doors. If you have thought about training but never "got around to it" - now is your chance to try. I had the same hesitations and after a few weeks I fell in love with training.

World class instruction. Super welcoming and friendly atmosphere. World class facilities, including but not limited to sauna, yoga room, epic mat space, two floors, TV and lounge area, viewer seating. Our BJJ has always been among the best you can find anywhere and the whole crew are like one big family.
Seriously just train here, stop being silly.
