      The Ulmarra Commercial Hotel sits on the East bank of the magnificent Clarence River, 12 km North of Grafton in Northern NSW.

      Our rooms are clean, comfortable and very affordable. All have digital TV and DVD players, and most have doors out to the verandah with its beautiful, cast iron lacework and views of the river and the village. Our family owned and operated pub is perfect for locals, holiday-makers and travellers alike.

After a few minutes gazing out across the mighty Clarence River to the cane fields & blue hills on the other side it may be hard to remember that you're only a 2 minute walk from the highway.

      Great position right next the beautiful wide Clarence River. Large garden and many leafy shady spots to sit.I stopped there twice on the way to Queensland (for coffee) and on the way back (for lunch). The coffee was fine and enjoyed watching 10 water dragons warming in the sun near the river bank. On the way back it was just after Christmas and the kitchen couldnt cope with the number of customers. It turned into more than an hour wait - they should have stopped taking orders or warned us of the time delay - that stuffed up our schedule. Our food (Chicken burgers and BLATS) was fine but we were so hungry and hot that we couldn't enjoy it.
