Do I need to be a registered business to sell scrap to you?
No, you do not need to be a business or have an ABN to deal with JK Recycling. However, if the scrap you are selling is from a business or you are conducting a business collecting and selling scrap you will need to provide us with an ABN or we must withhold 46.5% from your payment and remit it to the tax office. If you can demonstrate that your scrap is non-commercial then we are able to buy scrap from you within limits defined by the tax office.
What are your opening hours?
Our business hours are: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday 7:30am - 4pm Saturday 9am - 1pm.
How much will I get paid?
Scrap prices can vary considerably over time and will depend on the grade and quality of material available. Please contact us on 03 9562 6667 for a quote based on current pricing. We pay for all forms of scrap metal, but if you are selling steel you must have at least 500kg in order to receive payment. You welcome to dump any quantity of scrap steel at our yard for no charge.
Will you collect my scrap metal?
We can provide a collection service for people who are unable to transport their scrap to our yard. Depending on the quantity of scrap you have for collection there may be a charge applied. Please call us on 03 9543 4751 for further information.

Can you collect my scrap metal?
Yes, JK Recycling will collect your scrap metal from your home or factory. Depending on the quantity and type of scrap to be collected there may be a charge. Call us for more details.
