Having worked as a self-employed chippy as well as a building inspector and home assessor within local and state government, his insights go deeper than a standard checklist — giving you practical, real-world advice before you buy.

Do you charge travel fees?

For homes in Hobart and surrounding areas, there are no extra travel fees. However we do conduct inspections statewide when required and will always confirm any additional cost before you book.


How much does it cost?

Inspections start from $495.00 for a standard 1 bed unit however the exact cost depends on the size, location, and complexity of the property. You’ll always get a clear quote upfront.


How long does an inspection take?

Most inspections take between 1–2 hours, depending on the size and condition of the property.


Do I need to be present at the inspection?

Purchasers are not usually present at the time of the inspection. Most inspections times are managed by the listing real-estate and the vendor at their discretion, I will work around them with my availability, this is often at short notice.


How soon will I receive my report?

You’ll typically receive your detailed written report within 24 hours of the inspection.
