Stayed at the Pakenham Caravan Park in a cabin which was extremely disappointing. The cabin was of very low standard. The curtains were dirty and did not cover the windows properly when closed. The screen door fell off in our hands when we tried to close it. It was very dusty. The spare toilet roll in the cupboard was unwrapped and there were insects crawling on it. The owners demanded we pay up front and if we wanted to use our credit card we would have to pay a fee. They preferred cash. There was a small fan heater and a two bar heater. when we tried to run one heater, the t.v. and the jug the power went off. The latch on the door to the cabin was very loose. the flat screen t.v. was perched on top of the refrigerator and not anchored so when we opened the fridge door the t.v. wobbled and we had to hold it. We got all of this for the same rates you would expect to pay in a decent hotel. Why did we stay there? We had no choice. This caravan park is in need of some competition. The owners need to learn some people skills. This is one place to stay away from.
