General Info

We are proud to say that we have been serving this wonderful community for over 20 years.

Chiropractic patients are highly satisfied with their care, report less time off of work and recover faster from injuries. Chiropractic is safe, natural, drug-less, non-surgical profession that helps to restore physical well-being. Most Chiropractors help to educate their patient on subjects such as nutrition, exercise, posture and lifestyle choices.

Our purpose built clinic provides an inviting, relaxing and friendly environment. All of our chiropractors have graduated from accredited chiropractic programs that focused on diagnosis, safety and effective techniques for the treatment of a variety of neuromuscular skeletal complaints.

We all have over 20 years of experience in providing chiropractic care and practice a variety of techniques including low force treatment like activator method and higher force techniques like manual adjusting and terminal drop table. Some of our practitioners use state of the art soft tissue release techniques like Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN).

Our chiropractors continue to develop both best technique methods and clinical protocols through continuing professional development. We cater therapy to benefit all ages from infants to the elderly. At Bay Chiropractic Centre we put your health first because we take a patient centred approach. We tailor your treatment and treatment plans to cater for your individual health complaint.

Can l benefit from remedial massage therapy?

Most patients can benefit from Remedial Massage Therapy (RMT). Our chiropractors readily refer our patients for Remedial Massage Therapy (RMT) and many patients seek remedial therapy at our office. Remedial Massage Therapy (RMT) is helpful for muscle tension, relaxation, back and neck pain, sport related muscle dysfunction and headaches. It is a great technique to promote well-being. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

For how long will l need chiropractic care?

Spinal problems, neglected since early childhood may require ongoing supportive care for optimum spinal function. These long-standing problems are often associated with muscle weakness, soft tissue damage and degenerative changes to the spine and faulty neuromuscular patterns. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

How many visits before l feel relief?

The number of visits & treatment needed for each person depends on many variables. Most patients will notice some level of relief of pain within 4-6 weeks. Some chronic conditions may require up to 3 months of more to experience consistent relief. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

Is there an age limit to having chiropractic adjustments?

There is no age limit for chiropractic care. Chiropractors treat new born babies to the elderly. Techniques are modified and chosen based on the patient, age and health status of the patient, keeping the treatment safe and age appropriate. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

What is the popping sound during a chiropractic adjustment?

This is a very common question and rest assured, it is not the bones breaking. This is actually caused from the release of gases from the synovial fluid of a joint as a manipulation causes a pressure difference within the joint. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

What is Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN)?

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a treatment technique that uses acupuncture needles to deactivate and desensitise trigger points in muscle. Myofascial trigger points are areas in muscles where fibres stay contracted, some people refer to these as knots. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes. Scientific reviews of the literature (Cochrane review) have reported that a spinal manipulation is one the safest approaches for spine pain when compared with many medical approaches. More info: www.baychiropracticcentre.com.au/faqs/.
