What does a diabetes educator actually do?

Diabetes Educators have detailed training in diabetes. They assess individuals and advise about diet, exercise, medications (including insulin) and blood glucose levels.

What should I do in preparation for my appointment?

To optimize our contact, please provide a one-week dietary history, your medication list, pathology results, any referral documents and if you have diabetes, your blood glucose results.

I work long and irregular hours. It's difficult for me to schedule appointments. Can you help?

Yes. We can plan to meet after hours or weekends. Call and we'll work something out.
