Long day care centres are licenced to provide full time care Monday to Friday usually within the hours of 6.30am to 6.30pm. consist of qualified educators who care for children of different ages, Long day care services are assessed under national quality standards. These particular early learning environments provide licensed care for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years and can be open from 6:30 am to as late as 6:30 pm.
A qualified Educator must hold their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. A Lead Educator must hold their Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
A qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) must hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).
