Thai Magik Restaurant

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Our local with excellent food and service every time. Would highly recommend to all and also to book a table as they are always booked out :)

Worst dining experience I have ever had!!!. Party of eight, four adults plus four children dropped by to ask if they could fit us in one busy night.. They said sure, then proceeded to make up a table for us outside at the edge of the restaurant , complete with water dripping off a canvas awning onto the table, making it impossible to sit at one end. Then came the attack of the Christmas beetles... At least 30 little beetles at our feet, two of which flew and landed on my daughters head and freaked her out. Had to ask a waitstaff to sweep them away and requested to be moved inside, but they said they had no space which was fair enough. However the waitstaff did not come back to re sweep the beetles away and as a result they ended up on our clothes, hair, legs everywhere. My little daughter became so terrified she ended up screaming, running away and sitting in the car with one of us taking turns to sit with her whilst the rest of the party quickly finished their meals. We had to make a swift exit as she was so upset in the car. Management was aware of the situation but did not even offer us a discount as we paid. I later called to complain, but was rudely told that they were busy and had other customers to attend to and then hung up!! I will be avoiding this restaurant in the future. Food here is ok but dining out should be an experience and this one was a nightmare!! (thanks to inattentive and rude service.)
