Handed in my wife's engagement ring for a simple maintenance job and these people absolutely destroyed the ring. I now have to spend $1400 to get major repairs done at a decent jeweler. Go anywhere except these clowns if you value your jewelry.

Took my watch for a battery change and service ( had some dust under the glass face ) the crown had to be replaced also, well i picked it up 2 weeks latter had to take it back noticing the minute hand and hour hand were locked together watch not working after a further week i picked up the watch after close inspection the watch was damaged and had a bur where they prised it open to change the battery and under the glass had a minute piece of gold from the damage, they manage to transfer to under the glass and the dust was still there well i left it to be fixed wait 3 and a half weeks i called them they said didn't we call ??? anyway on collecting the nothing was rectified they gave excuses after excuses unaccountable amateurs beware

The service is slow and their returns on poor quality items nonexistent (even though top dollar is paid for perceived high quality jewellery).

I bought several pieces of jewellery from here; however, with each item found poor quality. With one chain I bought it broke within 2 months and they charged me to repair it and on the second wear after the repair it broke again. They misplaced one of my repairs and accused me of lying saying I’d not brought it in, also an item purchased in their store, a pearl brooch, where the pearl fell out. The owner was very rude in his manner, told me to deal with small claims and was disinterested in my patronage. I could only deduce that he was extremely stressed, and unable to be civil unless I was spending money. It took me a while to realise this as he seemed very happy when I was buying. Definitely not going back.

I put my clock in to be repaired and was told to come back the next day after 12pm. I went back at 1:30pm and the clock had not been repaired. Respectfully I commented that I wished that they had called me to save me the inconvenience of coming in. The owners rude response was to tell me that I shouldn’t have expected it to be ready. I replied that I just wished they had rung me. Instead of apologising the man told me I could ‘Take my business elsewhere’. So I did and I recommend that everyone else do the same. I feel sorry for the staff of Belrose as they obviously have to tolerate this man’s inappropriate behaviour on a daily basis.

Took a watch in for a replacement battery. They left part of the seal exposed which I unfortunately only noticed after swimming with it. They couldn't repair it and instead of being apologetic they were abusive and quite rude and only very reluctantly gave me the cost of the battery. My $300 12 month old watch I have to foot the bill for. Wouldn't go back there if they were the last jewellers in QLD
