What is the difference between cement and concrete?
While the terms cement and concrete are often used interchangeably, it is important to note that cement is actually an ingredient of concrete. Cement is the powder added to concrete that provides the basis for the glue that holds the concrete together. Concrete is a mixture of aggregates (stones) and sand and the paste is water and cement. Through a process called hydration the cement and a portion of the water will undergo a chemical reaction and harden into a rock-like mass.

Do you travel outside the Toowoomba area?
Yes we do. The majority of our work is in the Toowoomba area but we have also enjoyed working in such places as Scone to Dirranbandi and up to Mackay and lots of places in between.

Yes, We prefer to meet onsite to discuss each individual job and its requirements.
Do you work on commercial projects?
Yes, we perform Commercial, Industrial and also Residential projects.
Are you a locally owned & operated business?
Yes. We are a locally owned and operated family business.
Can you remove soil or pavers etc?
Yes. We are equipped with a Bobcat & Truck to remove & dispose of soil, old concrete, pavers etc.
Do you use a concrete pump?
Yes. We can organize the use of concrete pumps when called for.

We have used Schwerin Concreting for many years now on multiple jobs across multiple houses. Their quality and service are consistently excellent. They are also very keenly priced, with their quotes always coming in significantly less than their competitors. On a final note, it is abundantly clear that this is a family run business who take great pride in their work. They consistently go above and beyond and their job always exceeds expectations.

It was a pleasure to deal with them from the start to the finish, very professional and efficient. They came with good equipment and did exactly what they said they would do in the quoted timeframe. Very friendly team and will definitely use them again .

We called four concreters for a quote, Jonson was the only one to answer his phone, they quoted the next day and the job was completed last week. The whole team worked extremely well together and the finished job is outstanding. They left the site very clean with minimal disturbance. (The other three concreters still haven't bothered to give us a call back)

John and his team concreted a large shed pad for us and from preparing the site to completion they were excellent. They arrived on time and left the site very tidy on completion. We would happily use their services again.

The team at Schwerin were amazing. Thier professionalism, attention to detail, and communication is second to none. We had a 30m x 6m driveway to complete, and John with his team with a few obstacles along the way smashed it out. We can't thank them enough for the job they completed!

I would highly recommend Schwerin concreting after their recent work on my home. The quality of the work done and attention-to-detail is exceptional. Communication and price was also excellent.
