Dropped off a load of old copper and some mixed steel at the Rocklea site earlier this week. The yard can get pretty busy, but the guys working there kept the line moving quickly.

I’ve been to a few scrap yards in Brisbane where the pricing feels a bit vague, but these guys were transparent with the weights and the current rates. The staff were helpful enough when I had a question about sorting my load, and the whole process—from the scales to getting paid—took less time than I expected. It’s a well-run, no-nonsense setup. I’ll definitely be heading back here next time I clear out the garage.
