Can I get a family member's test results?
A family member can only access your test results with your permission. Privacy laws make it illegal to disclose any information about the patient without their prior consent. If you want to family member to have access to your results, you will need to have that noted that in your file.
What are the billing arrangements?
For the private patients fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash or credit cards including MasterCard & Visa or via EFTPOS. We provide bulk billing services. First visit and new patient fees apply. Some services are bulk-billing, please contact us to find out more. We also accept ZIP and AfterPay Payment Plans.
What is the waiting time like for doctors?
Nobody likes to be kept waiting. Our staff understand this and endeavour to manage all appointments as punctually as possible. However, due to the unpredictable nature of a medical practice – doctors do frequently run behind time. We regret any inconvenience caused due to these delays. Please feel free to contact our surgery staff before you arrive for your appointment to confirm whether your doctor is running on time.
What do I do if i have a complaint or suggestions?
Our goal is to provide a quality and professional service in a comfortable and caring environment. We are happy to hear from you should you have any concerns or suggestions please email the practice manager of your surgery. The contact details will be on the surgery information page.
How do I get my test results?
Please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your test results.
Does your practice see new patients?
Runaway Bay welcomes new patients to our surgeries. You will find our patient enrolment form on this website. Please complete this document as accurately as possible and bring it with you at the time of your initial consultation. Please arrive early for your first consultation so that our reception staff can enter your details.
What are the Costs?
Some of our medical services are bulk-billing. $90 for standard consultations, $140 long consultations, $200 consultations exceeding 40 minutes. Children and pensioners bulk billed. Dental costs can differ with each service. How are my medical records kept?
We follow the recommended guidelines for confidential storage of all personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Legislation. For a copy of our privacy policy please contact our surgery.
How do I get my records transferred to Runaway Bay?
You will be required to sign an authority form which will allow us to obtain them. Please speak with one of our medical receptionists and we will organise it for you.
