What exactly is a battery?

Will a car, truck or boat battery last longer in hot weather than in cold?

Doing this reduces the available capacity that can be used to start a cold engine.
Is disconnecting my car or truck battery while the engine is running is a good way to test the alternator?

As such, disconnection can cause peak voltage to rise, which can destroy electronic components or the charging system. This was an accepted practice many decades ago, but because charging systems have changed since then, this is no longer the case.

Despite popular perception, a lead-acid vehicle battery can explode under certain circumstances. Charging a wet lead-acid unit can cause electrolysis of the water, which produces oxygen and hydrogen gasses. These gases can be ignited if sparks are created with jumping, connecting or disconnecting charging cables, which leads to an explosion. Starting explosions are most commonly caused by loose terminal clamps.

Will regularly driving your vehicle ensure full recharging?
Yes. A car or boat battery is recharged when the vehicle's engine is in motion. Don’t waste your time and money, they won’t honour a faulty battery that keeps draining its amp holdings. Just because their basic battery test results show the battery to be “normal”, doesn’t meant there’s no underlying fault which is causing battery drain after sitting idle for 2 days. And it’s not being drained by the vehicle, we did a test by disconnecting the battery Friday afternoon and re connecting it Monday morning - still had major amperage drain. I then purchased an Amaron battery elsewhere, fitted it in, tested over 5 weeks and it’s absolutely perfect.
1) I’ll never buy a SuperCharge Gold battery ever again, I should’ve listened to my gut instincts, just the name and flashy sticker looks and sounds like it’s trying to sell itself.
2) I’ll never buy from this place ever again because of the defensive attitude and refusing to replace or refund - no honour and no business ethics.
If you go to this place for a battery, just remember, I did tell you so - beforehand
