Our aim is to provide professional health services through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine tailored to you.

In my practice, I have seen many people with skin, hair & nail problems. Traditional Chinese Medicine may assist the treatment of: Skin: eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Nail: fungal nail infection. Scalp or hair: hair loss especially due to stress or after giving birth, split ends, dandruff, itch or sensitive of the scalp, dry and dull looking hair. Consultation is generally needed since I need to make a Chinese medicine diagnosis to find out what is causing the problem. We need to balance our body to achieve health.

Jian Hua Zong (Maria) is an accredited practitioner of acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Oriental Remedial Therapy, providing services in Sandy Bay since 1993. Maria practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine for six years in China before coming to Australia. She is highly experienced and holds qualifications for a Bachelor of Medicine (China) and Diplomas in Acupuncture (China), Massage (China), Immunology, and Microbiology (Tasmania). We have the expertise and experience to treat a wide spectrum of diseases.

Some of the conditions that may respond well to Chinese herbal medicine or acupuncture include pain relief, some respiratory system complaints, hay fever, endocrine disorders, eczema, allergies, some gastrointestinal system complaints, urogenital system complaints, some neurological condition complaints, psoriasis, acid reflux, skin conditions, ear, nose, and throat conditions, addictions, period problems, menopause, and more. Our services include Chinese herbal prescriptions, ear acupuncture, electroacupuncture, herbal remedies, laser acupuncture, moxibustion, and traditional Chinese medicine. Over her 25 years of practice, she has helped many people with different health conditions.

She is a fellow member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA). Maria was born and trained in China. Maria also creates her own unique skin and hair products using natural ingredients and Chinese herbs. She can prescribe and tailor-make skin or hair products in her clinic for her patients. Some of her skin and hair products may be purchased online as well.
