Monumentals There is no more difficult time in anyone's life than the time surrounding the death of a loved one. Often we are flooded with emotion and sometimes struggle to deal with reality.You can find comfort and solace in memories. Memories can form a bridge between the living and the person who has died. A memorial is an everlasting symbol of remembrance. Selecting a suitable memorial is something that requires a great deal of thought with a sincere appreciation of the sentiments involved. Funeral Costs The cost of a funeral depends on the choices you have made. We will discuss with you the type of service you would like and complete a written estimate as a guide to the total cost of the funeral. Prior to the day of the service, when all arrangements are finalised, we will confirm the actual cost which will form the statement of account. Costs include:Funeral Directors Charges including our service fee, embalming if required, after hours transfer of the deceased if required, use of our facilities and vehicles.Coffin or Casket depending on your selection, as they do differ in price. We can assist you in choosing a coffin or casket according to how much you wish to spend and what you consider appropriate. Our Heritage is Dedication to Service Service is something more felt by its absence than in its presence, for true service is never obtrusive. We are dedicated to such thoughtful service, the alleviation of bereavement in every way possible without intrusion, without being ostentatious. Your Funeral Director is available to discuss with you at any time and without any obligation the specific details of Burials, Cremations or Pre-Planned Funerals."Our Family serving your family since 1865" Maryborough The Maryborough Crematorium was officially opened in 1979 and is managed by the Kirk Family of J Kirk & Sons. The crematorium is located on the Bruce Highway, Maryborough next to the Maryborough Garden of Rest Cemetery. The Crematorium offers the choice of two Chapels. The Pioneer Chapel for Private Services seating 40 people and the Heritage Chapel spaciously seating 144 people. After service refreshments can be catered for in the beautiful garden area.
Our funeral services cover every detail to honour and celebrate loved ones. We offer ceremony planning, a variety of caskets, cremation services, and floral arrangements. Our services include order of service design and printing, refreshments, and modern or vintage hearses for a personalised ceremony. We provide monumental and headstone services, along with private conference facilities for planning. With private chapels in Maryborough and Hervey Bay, we ensure a dignified and serene environment for families to gather and remember.
Our Hervey Bay Crematorium opened in 2004, boasts Fraser Coast's largest chapel, private viewing lounges, and reception areas, while the Maryborough Crematorium, established in 1979, offers the Pioneer Chapel and Heritage Chapel, along with a garden area for refreshments. Both locations feature a variety of personalised memorial options, including the Bronze Tree of Remembrance, Dolphin Cove, Anzac Gardens, and more.
