GV Carports & Patios will help you create a design that is as individual as you & is created to match your home & lifestyle needs. You'll love your new GV Carport. Designed & built to compliment your home, a carport is a relatively inexpensive way to protect your car and add value to your property. It will provide new scope for landscaping around your house, and for people with north or west-facing walls, a carport can also help insulate against long hot summer afternoons. A verandah is a roofed opened gallery or porch. It is also described as an open pillared gallery, generally roofed and built around a central structure. A carport is a structure used to offer limited protection to vehicles, primarily cars, from the elements. The structure can either be free standing or attached to a wall. Unlike most structures a carport will not have four walls, and is mostly commonly found with only two. Carports offer less protection than garages but allow for more ventilation than garages. A pergola is a garden feature forming a shaded walk or passageway of pillars that support cross beams and a sturdy open lattice, upon which woody vines are trained. It may also be part of a building, as protection for an open terrace. The origin of the word is the Late Latin pergola, referring to a projecting eave.
