Sorrento Queenscliff Car & Passenger Ferry

We always get service with a smile from these guys.
It is always a fast and comfortable crossing even with a toddler!
There were dolphins chasing the boat on our last trip but unfortunately were to late to get a photo.
Whenever we have friends staying with us from over seas we always try and take them on the ferry to get the full around the bay experience.

I always enjoy this crossing as a pedestrian and have taken overseas visitors on it four times. They loved it and we saw dolphins on half the occassions. The infrastructure is impressive and it is a great way to see Sorrento from the water. Be careful not be get sunburnt on the top deck and you can get a wiff of the boats exhaust fumes up the top if you are not careful. Queenscliff is a lovely historic town. The marina at Queenscliff has been developed in the past few year and there are a few nice places to eat outside as you wait. I love the old couta boats in the marina. Read up on the history before you go. I think the car crossing is overpriced - given the time taken at each end.
