Dr. John Howland

First I'd like to say that I've never felt inclined to write a review for any reason until today. I'm a mature aged woman who needed a bartholin cyst Marsupialisation.
Dr John Howland did the proceedure for me and I want to explain my reasons for having such confidence in him as a gynaecologist.
I had first been refered to a female gyno. To be frank, I wasnt Impressed in general with her consult, duty of care and description of the proceedure with the possible outcome. The she then tried to on-sell me an unnecessary proceedure that I had expressed no interest in and didnt need. I felt like I was at a business not a doctors office!
So, I went back to my GP and asked for a different referral. That's when I was referred to John Howland. What a difference! A totally different experience. First, I want to say he is a gentleman. I felt I could express my concerns and he expalined everything very clearly to me. He told me about a method he himself has devised that has been very successful in making sure the cyst doesn't come back. All made perfect sense to me! He checked into my other health issues (ie heart) , something that the previous gyno had overlooked. A real doctor! I felt confident to proceed.
I can't express how happy I am that he did the proceedure for me. All has gone very well and the after care has been excellent as well.
