For more than 50 years, we have been providing veterinary services to all kinds of animals across the Central Coast of Tasmania.

The Ulverstone Veterinary Clinic is a mixed practice that has provided a continuous service to the community of the Central Coast of Tasmania since the mid-1970s. In 1979 Dr Peter Thomson commenced practice at Ulverstone after graduating from Sydney University. The UVC has since evolved to be a 2-3 vet mixed practice mainly serving companion animals but has a depth of large animal experience.

Ulverstone Veterinary Clinic is a locally owned and centrally located clinic that has been providing veterinary surgeons in Ulverstone. Ours is a mixed-animal practice that has provided continuous service to the community of the Central Coast of Tasmania since the mid-1970s. We have experience taking care of all kinds of big and small animals. Our expert veterinary surgeons can take care of domestic pet animals, wildlife, avian, and production animals, sustaining our farmers’ livelihoods. We offer individualised care for your animal’s entire lifespan, advising on routine health care, breeding, nutrition, medical consultations, and more.

We offer a complete set of services, including medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. Our expert vets can perform a wide range of surgeries, from desexings to orthopaedics and in-house diagnostics such as x-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork. We are also experienced with the health issues facing horses, dairy cattle, beef cattle, and other livestock in our area and provide on-farm services. Our vet scan perform vaccinations, compassionate euthanasia, brachycephalic airway surgeries, and more.
