Brown Gouge Rosebud Dry Cleaners

Took a blouse in to have the length shortened, pinned to the length I needed and was told it would be a couple of weeks. Told the lady I was going to do it but thought I’d get a professional, beautiful fabric I was told by the sewing lady. Went to pick up blouse only to find it was shorter at the back than the front, cut uneven, sewing along the hem that was taken up uneven and the material was frayed on the front hem. The hem was so small it didn’t fall right. Blouse was for a wedding, but I’ll have to find something else now as not good enough to wear. I should have done it myself in the first place. I was in tears, quite upset! Sewing lady did offer to fix it but I couldn’t risk any further mishaps! I was not charged.

Went to pick up dry cleaning and they were closed on a Saturday or warning when dropping off.

I dropped off a man's 3/4 length wool coat to be dry cleaned at Squeekie Clean Laundromat as they were the agents in Rye for Brown Gouge. I picked it up, paid for it, and when I went to hang it up there was a large triangular burn mark on it. When I returned it, both Squeekie Clean and Brown Gouge blamed each other. Both refused to deal with me. I will NEVER use either again. We had to buy a new coat. Their behaviour was disgraceful.

I won't be coming back here ever. Brought a quilt weeks ago and picked it up to see it was still dirty. Gave them another chance and I had to put up with the arrogance of a middle age woman who told me literally " the stains won't come off" being a simple jacket with simple stains that you would expect a dry cleaning to remove it.

Apart from that she was rude when talking and use the excuse of " very old stains" when it's MY jacket and I know the stains are recent...

anyway, better places to go

Just an update we took the blankets to another dry cleaners and they told me that the blankets had not been deodorised properly and if we put them on our bed it would have effected our eyes. The dryccleaners we took it to are providing this service free of charge.

WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! We took our blankets to brown guoge and they left the chemicals in the blanket and said it was an incent smel then changed her mind by saying it was a perfume smell and she was very narkie and rude
