At Action Laser Cutting we specialise in cutting plate and sheet with the capability of cutting:

 Steel and Wear plate to 20mm thick

Stainless to 16mm

Aluminium to 6mm -

Our machines utilise fully automated CNC cutting at speeds of up to 3 metres per minute, with a bed size of 3000x1500mm.

CNC processing means parts can be created from your drawings or computer files with no tooling costs involved and giving greater freedom to design engineers.

Steel:

Steel is an economical material for all forms of fabrication and other processes. Strong, easily folded and welded it is by far our most commonly cut material. We keep a very large amount of stock and pride ourselves in the high quality of our steel cutting work.

We can profile cut all forms of carbon steels including:

Mild Steel (250 Grade)

Mild Steel (350 Grade high tensile)

Floor plate (checker plate)

Galvanised sheeting

Zinc coated steel such as ZincAlume, ZincSeal

Cold Rolled and Brightform steel

Aluminium

Aluminium is an incredibly lightweight material, making it perfect for marine and aviation applications. Compared to steel it is lighter and easier to machine into a wide variety of shapes.

Aluminium has a very high natural resistance to corrosion,so it can be used outdoors or in very humid environments such as deep sea marine environments. Aluminium is also non-magnetic.

At Action Laser we make a large amount of automotive parts out of Aluminium grades such as:

Aluminium 5005 – General Fabrication grade

Aluminium 5083 – Marine structural grade (not as suited to bending)

Aluminium 6061-T6 – High strength alloy (in imperial sizes only)
