WWAB, where dancers turn out better...... Wagga Wagga Ballet Academy was established in 1997 by Leanne Nicol to provide quality ballet and dance tuition to the budding stars of tomorrow. This Academy is dedicated to developing the individual talents of every student, whether vocational or recreational providing tuition in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Acro for dance. Performances are staged at various local events to provide theatrical and stage experience. Formal Assessments For those who wish to participate, Australian Institute of Classical Dance exams and assessments are conducted annually, as are Glenn Wood Tap exams. Annual Performance Students have the opportunity to perform in various local events throughout the year in addition to our own annual performance at the Wagga Civic Theatre for which costumes are provided at a reasonable hire rate. This event is run like a professional show so that participants gain theatre experience and the audience is treated to an entertaining variety performance. Member of Ausdance with adherence to Safedance practices for children. Qualified and Caring tuition provided by experienced instructors. Appropriate class sizes and reasonable prices.
The Wagga Wagga Academy of Ballet, founded in 1997, has been offering high-quality ballet and dance tuition for students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced-level students. At the academy, we provide you a place for you to develop your passion and skills, nurturing the next generation of dancers in a wide range of classes in ballet, acro, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, and tap. Our instructors are thoroughly qualified and hold certifications such as the Diploma in Dance Teaching & Management and the Licentiate Ballet Teaching Diploma.
At the Wagga Wagga Academy, we give our students numerous opportunities to perform in front of a live audience and build valuable stage presence and theatrical experience. In addition, we organise a professional-level show at the Wagga Civic Theatre where we deliver major annual performances with reasonably priced costumes. Our students can also take part in annual assessments like Australian Institute of Classical Dance (AICD) ballet exams, Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), and Glenn Wood Tap exams, providing you with an avenue to track their development and set personal goals.
The academy at Wagga Wagga is committed to providing a family-friendly, safe, and supportive environment. Adhering to Safe Dance practices, our team ensures that all students, especially young dancers, are trained with proper technique and care.
