FAQs
What security do you have?
All sites have state of the art 24hr CCTV cameras & recorders. We also have gate coded entry/exit which alarms or unarms your unit via an allocated unique pin number. Most of our sites have nightly SNP patrols every day of the year.
Do you hold a key to my unit? Do you supply the lock?
No, you supply the lock & hold the key. We sell padlocks in the office for $10 if you don't have one.
Do you need a deposit?
No. We don't require a deposit on move in.
Lowest price guaranteed so you price match?
Our facilities are located in premium locations across the greater Newcastle area. How have state of the art fixtures & technology. If a competitor of the same calibre is cheaper, we will happily price match. Make sure you get a written quote.
What size unit do I need?
Our staff can assist you in providing an estimate unit size. Knowing why you need storage helps us, so if you're moving, selling, clearing/cleaning or archiving tell us. You can also go online to our website & refer to the storage calculator, it will provide you with a guide. You're more than welcome to come in & check out one of our fabulous facilities & see what units we have available. If one of our sites doesn't have the exact size you need, we can find you a site that does.
How long can I use the space for?
The minimum amount of time you can store is 1 month which you pay in advance. The contract is ongoing until you provide a move out date. You are required to give at least 7 days' notice before vacating your unit.
How often do you complete Pest Control?
We complete pest control every 3 months.
Can I upsize or downsize at any time?
Yes. As long as we have the size unit available all you have to do is sign a new contract & empty the items from one unit to the other. If you have a credit on your original unit, we just transfer the balance across onto your new unit.
Do you have discounts for long term storage?
Yes. We provide discount prepay packages up to 25% off the first 6 months for new customers at our sites except Warners Bay. If you want to prepay longer contact the office we will work out a great deal. For existing customers we also provide packages if you prepay in advance.
Can I use your truck?
Yes. You need to be over 25 years of age holding a normal current drivers licence. The truck hire is free for the first 4 hours of your move in; if you go over 4 hours you just pay $40 on your move in day. You must pay for the fuel its $0.80 per km & leave a $100 cash holding deposit. The truck can only be used within the Newcastle region. If you want to use the truck for moving around or move out hire charges will apply.

All Purpose Self Storage at Tomago is fantastic. It’s been a positive experience tight from the beginning. The storage units are clean and easy to access and their billing system is easy. Cathy has been a pleasure to deal with and has gone above and beyond to help me when needed. I would definitely recommend.

These guys make every step easy and hassle free. Reasonable prices. Lots of sizes to choose from. And a free 4hr truck hire to get my stuff there. Would recommend for sure.

We have used “All Purpose Self Storage” at Warners Bay for many years and are most impressed by the security of the premises and the scrupulously clean hallways and storage units (we have never seen any pests). The staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. For example, when we needed to re-organise and rearrange furniture in our unit to add more things, staff kindly put us in contact with a person who could help us move furniture as we are 70+ and needed assistance. We have no hesitation in recommending “All Purpose Self Storage” for all your storage needs.
