      National Tiles was established in 1979 by founder Frank Walker. The National Tiles network incorporates 14 state of the art showrooms in Queensland and Victoria, these design centres are fully equipped to handle all aspects of today's tiling needs.

      What training is provided?

      National Tiles is currently developing a training program for all customer contact staff working for National Tiles. This program will comprise both practical training and theory. The program is structured in such a way that it provides staff with a clear path of progression within the company; it will also position National Tiles to have the most highly training and qualified sales team in the tiling industry.

      What times do stores and administration offices operate?

      Our stores are generally open from 07:00am till 05:00pm. Should you wish to work out of our retail store; the above will most probably apply to you. Our general administration offices are open from 08:00am to 05:00pm.

      What are the values and ethics of National Tiles?

      Why are my tiles cracking?

      Tiles generally crack due to poor tiling methods or practices which cause above-average movement on the surface the tile is fixed to (the substrate). If you have a tile cracking problem, National Tiles can provide you with advice and have an inspection carried out on site by professionals. Contact us for more details.


      What is the culture of working at National Tiles?

      We have a family-feel at National Tiles with a social club which gets together many times in the year and our social calendar is very colourful. The midyear event at Crown Casino is one of three annual events including a family Christmas party organised by the social club staff. There are free lunch days, premium footy tickets, a snow lodge for staff and their families at Mt Buller and card and gift vouchers for all staff on their birthdays.


      Am I able to replace my damaged tiles?

      With some patience and simple instructions a DIY tiler can remove and replace cracked tiles. To prevent it happening again make sure you understand the cause of the damage before undertaking the work.
