Garden Court Motor Inn

My mother stayed here the night with her friend, both pensioners, on there way back home to Victoria. They were charged $130 for the night and then discovered their room was less then average with not enough room to swing a cat & dark & dungy. It was the most expensive motel they had stayed in on there whole trip. The following night they stayed in a beautiful 4 star motel at Cootamundra and payed $96. When mum had mentioned the price of the previous motel to this owner, he was shocked to hear it & assured them that his rooms were alot better for alot less. While there, my mother rang the owner back at Wellington and enquired about the price of a room for the night. She was told it would cost them $120, $10 less then they paid back there the night before. When mum questioned as to why they were offering it cheaper her lame excuse was that they were busy that night. Apparently there was only the total of 4 cars in the whole of the motel there the night my mum had stayed. My mum & her friend both feel very ripped off, especially both of them being pensioners. All they wanted was a bed & a bathroom for the night, not a deposit on the room!
