      We hope to make your dental visit a pleasurable experience.

      We are Moss Vales longest established general dental practice with excellent support staff and a pleasant work environment. We provide a wide range of dental care services to patients and a referral service if specialist treatment is required. An orthodontist and hygienist are part of our team and allow us to offer a wider range of treatment modalities.

      Dr Pino Giusti (BDS Syd Uni) and Dr Nicholas Messenger (BDS Syd Uni) aim to provide the best and most appropriate treatment for each individual situation and to produce excellence in modern dental care. A photo library of numerous completed cosmetic cases is available for viewing if similar treatment is contemplated to demonstrate what is possible with new dental techniques.

      How often do I need to get my teeth checked and cleaned?

      Getting around to visiting your dentist can easily be forgotten or postponed but it's an essential step in maintaining a healthy mouth. Regular check-ups allow your dentist to spot any problems that are developing. Getting a professional clean will also keep your teeth and gums healthier between examinations. It's then a matter of simple daily maintenance to keep your mouth problem free until the next visit. A 6-12 monthly check up, scale and clean is a good benchmark for most people.


      Do you treat children under the Child Dental Benefit Scheme?

      Moss Vale Dental Clinic bulk bills for all services performed under the Child Dental Benefit Scheme. There are no out-of-pocket expenses or gap payments for services provided under this scheme. Children, aged 2-17 years, who are eligible are entitled to up to $1,000 in benefits over 2 calendar years for basic dental treatment (such as check-ups, x-rays, fillings and extractions).


      I hate coming to the dentist! Do you offer Nitrous sedation?

      Moss Vale Dental Clinic strives to make each patient as comfortable as possible from the minute you walk through the door. We understand that this is the last place you want to be. During dental treatment Doctors Giusti and Addison are able to offer Nitrous Oxide sedation (happy gas) to patients of all ages to aid in their comfort.


      Do you use Overseas / Offshore Dental Technicians?

      No, we believe in supporting our local industries and keeping jobs in Australia. Moss Vale Dental Clinic doesn't use any technicians expect locals. We would prefer to pay a premium and receive a great product that is stringently tested and quality controlled in Australia.


      Why do dentists always want to take x rays?

      Radiographs (or x rays) allow us to identify potential problems which we cannot see with our naked eyes (such as areas in between the teeth and under the gums). It is a very important diagnostic tool used to correctly identify any problems. Preventatively, bitewing radiographs should be taken at least once every 3 years (more frequently for individuals with high caries rate) to make sure there are no cavities forming in between the teeth and under the gums.


      What is Moss Vale Dental Clinic's approach to Cosmetic dentistry?

      Remarkable new products and advanced technical procedures have allowed us to make dental enhancement feasible for more people than ever before. We have an extensive "before and after" library of photos that highlight some of the procedures we provide from tooth whitening to tooth-coloured "invisible" crowns. All images represent treatment performed and photographed at The Moss Vale Dental Clinic. Some of these cases can be viewed on our website under "Our Solutions".


      Can I whiten my teeth safely?

      The most common way to whiten your teeth is by using whitening trays that are fabricated specifically to your teeth. The trays are worn for 90 mins/day for approx. 2 weeks. This method we feel yields the best long term result for your money. Our in house tooth whitening procedure, whilst it is more costly, is great for those needing instant gratification prior to a wedding or special event. Our hygienist, Yolanda Alvarez usually performs this treatment.


      What kind of dental clinic are you?

      We are Moss Vale's longest established general dental practice with excellent support staff and a pleasant work environment. We are a quality modern practice that caters to family, general & cosmetic dentistry with old fashioned service.


      Do you have HICAPS and what are my payment options?

      Yes we do have HICAPS for on-the-spot health fund claims - you need to bring your health fund card with you at your appointment and then you are only required to pay the gap remaining. Payment options include: cash, cheques, EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard. An invoice is given at the completion of each appointment and we provide estimates for all planned treatment before it is undertaken.


      Do you have a Hygienist and why do we see a Hygienist?

      Yes we do. We employ Yolanda Alvarez, who has been with us several years now and is locally trained. Yolanda is specifically trained in prevention and maintenance of your teeth and gum tissue and can offer a more personalized preventive care plan and periodontal treatments whilst Dr Pino Giusti and Dr Nicholas Messenger take care of your restorative needs.
