From the minute you make your appointment with our experienced and friendly reception staff, you will have a gentle and caring experience. We offer local anaesthetic using the wand machine, digital X-rays and other advances, designed especially for people who are nervous about having dental treatment. We want everyone to have great dental health.
At Dental On Lawrence, we provide high-quality family dental care that will make you feel relaxed and confident. We strive to achieve your expectations and take the time to address your dental health concerns. Our aim is to avoid unnecessary and repetitive work, allowing time for any preventive measures to take effect. This is to ensure that once you have had a tooth restored, you stand the least chance of that tooth needing repair again.
We offer a broad range of treatment including routine check-ups, tooth-coloured fillings, root canal treatment, resin and porcelain veneers, gum health management and teeth whitening. Did this use to be Rod Paton's practice?
Dr Rod Paton worked out of the Lawrence Street rooms for over 40 years. He sold the practice to Dr Shayne Scott in 2015 before retiring the following year.
Which dentists work at the practice?
Dr Shayne Scott is the practice owner and principal dentist. Shayne completed a Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Western Australia in 2001 before moving to Wodonga in 2015. Dr Melanie Warnock and Dr Megan Walker joined Dental on Lawrence in 2018 and 2021 respectively.

Lots of people feel anxious before going to the dentist. We have several ways to make your visit more comfortable. Stress balls are always available. You can listen to music or watch your favourite TV show.

We also offer happy gas to help calm your nerves. For treatment that requires local anaesthetic, you are welcome to use all of the methods above. We also use a device called The Wand - a computer-assisted instrument that delivers anaesthetic without discomfort.
How do I pay my account?
We have HICAPS facilities that allow us to lodge private insurance claims on your behalf. Out-of-pocket expenses can be paid by credit card (Visa and Mastercard only), EFTPOS and Zip. Eligible children may be able to have their fees bulk-billed under Medicare's Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).
