Why does it cost so much?
Pestige Solutions strives to provide the best pest control service possible. If it takes us more time and effort to produce this service, then we might charge a little more than others. We try to be competitive in price and remember you get what you pay for. Our prices include the whole service so no additional or hidden fees will be added on without prior consenting.
Are the chemicals you use toxic?
The pesticide we use all have toxicity levels, some are just more toxic than others. Our pesticides vary in toxicity especially when we are using them in and around homes. We take all precautions when treating homes around pregnant women, children, bad asthmatics and pets. All our products are environmentally friendly and when used in the right manner, can be very safe to be around after a treatment has been carried out. Do you charge additional fees?
We charge additional fees only if we have to treat a property or business after normal working hours of 6.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Do you have warranties?
We have warranties with most of our treatments. We do not give warranties for spiders and ants unless specialised treatments are carried out. All other treatments have warranties ranging from 3-9 months.
Do they harm children?
We take all precautions with children around when pest treatments are carried out. It is best to keep them away until pest sprays are dry so kids can't put their fingers in it and then put it in their mouth. It takes approx. 1-2 hours after treatment has finished. This time can change depending on weather.
Do your chemicals smell?
Most of our pesticides do not smell. Our internal treatments do not smell. Our external garden and perimeter wall treatment does have a smell but fades away as it dries.
Does the rain affect a Pest Treatment?
If it pours down within an hour after an external treatment is carried out then we will come back and re-treat any affected areas free of charge.
How long does the chemical last?
Chemicals used internally and externally in a home will only last approx. 9 months. Termite treatments have a maximum limit of 10 years. Cockroach gels will only last for approx. 3 months. Rat bait can last for years in a roof but only up to months in rat bait stations. Warranties are usually in sync with how long each chemical treatment lasts.
Are pets allowed to be around chemicals?
We work around all pets, so no animals are contaminated. Contamination may occur if they come in contact with the chemical before it dries. So, we ask that pets be kept away until this time. Either taken away while treatment is carried out, or placed into a room which will not be treated.
Do we work Saturday's?
We work every Saturday completing Termite Inspections, Strata complexes, home and business treatments. We do not charge extra for working on Saturdays.
