      Skippy’s Yeppoon is conveniently located near Yeppoon Shopping Centre, with excellent accessibility to the main street, schools, highway to Rockhampton. It offers ample off-street parking facilities and has been designed with care and consideration to the needs to children from 6 weeks to 12 years. The campus adjoins a creek creating a natural outlook for children to spark their curiosity as they play, learn and discover.

      Our Curriculum As part of our care and education program, we develop Creative Memory Journals to document each child's learning and development journey. Creative Memory Journals (CMJ) are a collection of observations, samples of your child's work/achievements and anecdotes of your child's experiences and learning at Skippy's Early Learning Centres. CMJ's become a story of your child's developmental journey demonstrating skills they have developed, telling stories of play situations and highlighting interactions and friendships.

      Our Education Program - Numeracy & Literacy Our educators expose children to stimulating literacy and numeracy environments and support them as they begin to associate sounds with letters of the alphabet. We understand that this alphabetic principle is very important for our children as it is the foundation in learning to read, write and spell. We expose children to print in their environment in magazines, posters, catalogues and books and we talk about words which have the same letters.

      QLD Government Approved Kindergarten Program Skippy's offers a QLD Government approved kindergarten program delivered by a qualified Early Childhood teacher for eligible children in their year prior to attending Prep. Along with the recommended learning framework of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, our program includes our own designed School Readiness curriculum and the Write2Spell2Read Program. Write2Spell2Read authored by Sam Woods, a Rockhampton based OT and Certified Neurodevelopment Therapist is a multi-sensory program.
