I broke down on my way into the city a couple of weeks ago, and after calling a few towing companies I found that not only were Gardenstate Towing coming in at the best price, but were also able to dispatch a truck to me in the most efficient time frame.

The driver that came out to me was extremely friendly and professional.

Would highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Long story short:
- Was promised a tow truck in 90 min max

- Workers behind the phone couldn't give me any info on the tow truck drivers whereabouts as if he was coming from the end of the world

- Tow truck arrived 4hrs after my initial phone call

- Couldn't find my car and left me stranded without informing me about anything


Full story:

The most unprofessional towing company I could have ever imagined.

Was told that a truck would be picking me up in 90 minutes max, mind you this was at 12pm.

90 minutes later I called the company to get an eta on the tow truck; was then informed that he's coming from Collingwood, which is another 20 min away.

Another 50 min went past and I called again as it had been almost 3 hours... the person behind the phone (Justin) had then told me "do you want me to call the truck back or are you going to wait, we're trying our best...he should be there really soon"

So at this point I had moved my car 5 min down the road. Over 3.5 hours after my initial phone call the tow truck driver calls me on a private number saying that he's on the corner (where I was initially parked). So I informed him that I had driven down 5 min to a street off the main road. So he replied that he'd see me in 5 min.

10 min later...I call the company to ask for the tow truck drivers phone number. Yet to my surprise Justin tells me that he couldn't find me and he had been dispatched to another job.

I told him that I had spoken to the driver and explained to him exactly where I was...but they couldn't give a crap, Justin thought that they could justify leaving me stranded as I had moved 5 min down the road to a better location.

If I had not called them I'd have been left waiting for nothing as the retard driving the truck that couldn't find my car.

At the end I joined RACV and got informed where the tow truck was exactly and he arrived right on time.

I would not recommend this company

If I could give negative stars I would. I was involved in a two car accident yesterday evening and someone at the scene called two tow trucks from this company. At the time I couldn't find my insurance information and was being offered by a repair shop at the scene of the accident that they could fix it. We called back the towing company within a few minutes but were told that the tow trucks were already on their way (don't they have communications with the tow trucks once they've left the depot?). They turned up and one of the drivers, called Chris M, I found out subsequently, told us that the repair shop did not have the facilities to fix crashed cars. So I decided to do nothing until I had talked to my insurance company. They told me to call a tow truck. I drove to the scene of the accident and called the Victorian Towing number at 8am. I was told that the tow truck would be there in less than thirty minutes. After 50 minutes I called them again. They called the towing company and conveyed the message that the truck was "Just around the corner". After another 15 minutes I called again and was told that, again after talking to the company, the truck was "A couple of minutes away". After another 10 minutes I called again and was told that "According to the GPS the truck is there". It wasn't. Five minutes later Chris M turned up with a host of excuses. "I had to drop off another car" - in which case why wasn't another truck sent? "I didn't get to bed till 4.30am" - in which case why was he driving at all?
He said that he knew the car was not interfering with traffic because he'd seen it parked the previous day and so didn't need to hurry. So why wasn't I told he wouldn't arrive for over one and a half hours. I'm pretty sure he decided to punish me for not accepting the tow the previous evening. I'm hoping I never have to use a tow truck again but if I do I will definitely request not this outfit.

I found Gardenstate towing to be very quick & professional. I've never used a towing company before, the service on the day was extremely good. I would highly recommend them to friends.
