No Integrity from Gas Sports Cars

Arranged to view a car at Gas Sports Cars, arranged the time to visit with them and drove over an hour to get there, only to be called when 2 minutes away to be told, "Sorry, we just sold it"

Utter lack of integrity from these guys, although in a way they did me a favor, as I haven't given them any money and don't have to deal with them ever again.

NO Integrity from Gas Sports Cars, Albion QLD

DO NOT purchasing an extended warranty when buying a car it is a SCAM between Gas Sports and integrity extended warranty to not pay for repairs. I purchased a 2016 Jaguar from Gas Sport in 2022 and the car has multiple issues, failed engine mounts and a failed timing chain causing the car to be un drivable with in first 6 months of ownership. I purchased the extended warranty being told this would make the 12 months originally offer go to 3 years and when I went to claim was declined both times. The extended warranty will void the original 12 month dealer warranty as soon as you sign the paperwork ONLY take the dealer 12 month warranty, as they are then responsible if you have issues with your vehicle, where if you take the extended warranty they fob you off to integrity extended warranty to deal with and if you search their reviews under the Product Review website you'll see they are a SCAM, make your own mind up.

4/10/23 edit:

1. Gas Sports Cars have not contacted me since my review post.

2. In response to the kilometres, are Gas Sports Cars aware European diesel sedans are designed to be driven, like across the UK / Europe? Jaguar XE owners emphasize on online forums is that what's more significant that kilometres travelled, is using the correct 2016 Jaguar XE manufacturer's oil specification grade, together with regular service intervals.

3. Cleaning of the ad blue injector is not a service schedule item according to the manufacturer's online service schedule.

4. Gas Sports Cars did eventually offer to pay for the timing chain repair, but it was not until after some time. This offer has not included the repairs I have needed to cover at my own expense, due to the extended warranty sold to me not covering these.

5. I have previously requested Gas Sports Cars to cover payment of diagnostics, repairs / replacements etc, which I believe is reasonable as it's in line with what Gas Sports Cars claimed at the point of sale.

6. I was advised by Gas Sports Cars the Integrity Extended Warranty covered "Everything, except wear and tear items like brakes & tyres". In reality what I discovered at claim time was this was far from the truth, in fact the product has been misrepresented to me by Gas Sports Cars. I was then left to cover these expenses myself.

7. Gas Sports Cars organised an oil service through their RWC and car service mechanic before I collected the vehicle. It was not until months later I discovered the invoice showed the incorrect oil grade specification has been used 5W30, with no mention of the brand.

8. I researched Jaguar's 2016 XE online technical specifications that indicates 0W30 is to be used for the diesel vehicle. Further research through Jaguar XE forums confirm engine oil SAE 0W30 meeting specification STJLR.03.5007 is the only oil that is to be used in the sensitive Ingenium 2.0L Diesel engine.

8. Gas Sports Cars also did not at any time during the sale advise me the rear brakes needed replacing very soon. Upon a further RWC only 5 DAYS after purchase, I was surprised to be advised the rear brakes had only just passed the RWC and needed replacing soon, the brake sensor wear indicator also need replacing. I was driving around on low rear brakes without a working brake sensor to alert me, this is a safety issue had it remained unchecked. It is good business practice of car dealerships to show full transparency with customer of any known issues with the vehicle.

9. Gas Sports Cars are well aware through my many communications my request to satisfactorily resolve this issue.

10. The car has a major defect and is deemed unsafe to drive. I believe the car was not fit for purpose at the time of sale due to the incorrect oil specification used, which over time has caused the diagnosed issues. If Gas Sports Car had made me aware of the negative implications possible due to the incorrect oil type used, I would
