Col's Handyman Service

My mother engaged this person complete work for her (removing a fireplace so she could cover that empty space in wood paneling to match the rest of the wall). She was pretty clear in what she needed to be done, and Col did not complete the work to the level she had asked for.

He quoted $50per hour and worked for some amount of hours between 8am and 4pm but the amount he ended up charging would indicate he did somewhere around the 15 hour mark. He would only take cash and refused to give receipts.

He has been massively uncooperative in trying to resolve the situation.

He took advantage of the fact that mum is a single woman who doesn't know a huge amount about building. Really disappointing to see the old take for all you can and scam women coz they won't understand attitude still exists.

Would not recommend.
