Apollo Bay Hotel

Rapidly downhill under new ownership. We were charged twice for one purchase; noticed on our credit card statement. A social media message to them about it was read, but ignored. A phone call to them was answered, but we were hung up on. A personal visit - they refused to even look into the issue, and became extraordinarily aggressive. Theft, essentially. The other pub in town is much better - and honest, too.

Unfortunately I was refused entry this afternoon because I was not able to show a green tick.

Slightly antiquated mindset given the current state of play - maybe you need to keep up with all the information being presented. FYI - the vaccine won’t make a difference to you spreading it or getting it ..



We’ve just travelled over 4000 kms in a week across Australia from lightning ridge - broken hill - Glenelg - Robe and now Apollo Bay … This was the only place which asked for a green tick and refused entry based on it …



Thank you for the memory of Apollo Bay …. Won’t forget and won’t be back … in future why don’t you advertise you require a green tick for entry rather than make someone walk up the steps and wait and then feel like an absolute criminal for not presenting one. Really tacky move from a marketing point of view.



The front persons handling of the matter was disgusting and he was aggressive. Handle it better and make sure it’s advertised so those who wish to be informed about their own medical health don’t have to go through what I went through today.
