What’s the fastest way to send an item with a courier?
Index
Do you know the fastest way to send your parcels? Do you know what factors make a difference in the time taken to get a parcel from one point to another?

Local deliveries
There’s a good reason for the advent and popularity of bicycle couriers, sometimes they’re the only way to get a document or package across the centre of a city in a short period of time. In some areas, or more particularly at some times of day, traffic can be so bad that bicycle couriers can be a viable option for journeys of 5km or even more. Then, of course, there are motor cycle couriers, who can be nearly as manoeuvrable as bicycle couriers and as fast as cars. Vans and trucks aren’t always as fast of course, but sometimes they’re the only options for larger parcels.
Interstate and international
Interstate and international couriers and parcel delivery services are obviously fastest when sent via airmail; that part is easy. This is where the choice of the parcel company, rather than the mode of transport, becomes more important. The efficiency or otherwise of your courier company’s processes will make all the difference for international and interstate delivery times. Some large international courier and parcel delivery companies have such finely honed processes, that it can be faster to receive a parcel from the USA with one company than from Sydney with another.
Speedy delivery is always important, research available courier companies before you make any decisions.
