I have been attending Avonsleigh Clinic for more than 30 years. I am always so impressed by the wonderful service of everyone there. The vets, nurses and groomers are absolutely the best around! Just before Christmas I sadly had to have my beautiful dog put to sleep. The care and respect towards me and my pup was so amazing. I will never forget the kindness. The staff went above and beyond to help my dog's final transition and were so calm and gentle, and also offering their support to me at such a horrible time. They also reached out to me a week later with a beautiful sympathy card signed by the staff. It was so lovely. Over the years Avonsleigh Vet has looked after all my pets ranging from rats, cats and dogs, and now my kids all attend with their pets. We don't even live in the area, and travel up to 45 minutes when we have a sick pet, and we are always accommodated, and treated so well. We will not go anywhere else. Thanks to John and all the staff at Avonsleigh Vet. Your care of your patients is simply the best!

Very rude receptionist when trying to book a appointment, was on the phone for over an hour and the appointment made was changed without my knowing, the vet showed up a day earlier with 30 min notice, at the time I was not home so I had to rush back to get organised.
Explaining the medical history of my horse with laminitis the vet said it wasn’t a case of laminitis and made it seem like it could be a more serious issue, as a worried owner the next step to find out what was wrong was blood tests for Cushing, results came back negative, and not further help or guidance to fix the problem, was charged $500 for it, and left worried with a still lame horse.
I was able to get the gembrook vet out, and as always staff are beautiful and so friendly, my horse was diagnosed with laminitis within 5mins, he received anti inflammatory pain killers, some bute and my horse improved within 24hrs of the call out visit it overall cost a third of what avenleigh charged.
If I learned anything it’s that I wouldn’t even have this clinic as a back up vet for emergencies. Terrible
