TRS

Have always used Ballarat TRS for any faults in my electronics, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Peter is always true to his quotes and will contact me if there are any extra costs involved, before going ahead with the work required.
We also got an antenna installed by Peter last year. He was on time, efficient and very friendly.
I would recommend Ballarat TRS to anybody needing electronic or antenna services.

I would like to say well done to Peter on his prompt & efficient service when my large LCD TV recently failed ... I would not hesitate in recommending this business to my family & friends.

I was looking for a repair shop to give me a quote on repairing my Sony surround sound system which had developed a hissing noise. Wanting to support local small business I looked around and found TRS. I left my system with them for a quote and paid my deposit. Several weeks later I hadn't heard from them so I called to enquire whether Peter, whose business it is, had had a chance to look at my system. His receptionist informed me that he'd already fixed it. When I asked how much was owing she quoted me double the system's value. I went to the shop to speak with Peter and asked him what he'd found to be the problem. He said 'the system had a lot of cracks in it' and when I asked where these 'cracks' came from he suggested they were caused by the vibrations of the sound! I had hoped to get a more specific diagnosis for my deposit. I asked him why he didn't call with a quote prior to commencing the job. He said he couldn't identify the cause of the problem until he had fixed it. I then made him an offer of nearly double my original budget for the repairs but he wouldn't accept it on the basis that he'd put too much time into it. He threatened to 'undo' the work he'd done (I'm assuming this meant that he would damage the system - put cracks into it?) if I didn't pay the amount he was demanding. I decided to let him keep the system in exchange for a refund of my deposit, as I would rather the system go on to be used, especially now that it's fixed, than he ruin it.

Needless to say I would not recommend TRS to anyone.
