Requested to cut 2 big trees lop one and drop another moderate sized tree then slice up and foot block everything from a forearm thickness upwards where they fell. Quote very high price over 3 K but I accepted his quote as he said he could do the job quickly. I had to be away mostly during the period he was to work he assured me he could work unsupervised to my instructions. No mention was made of bringing heavy machine onsite. This is what he did instead first day he droped the 3 trees and lopped the fourth but a he brought in a Bobcat without my permission and left great gouge marks in my lawn where he parked the truck. Then used the bobcat the tear way most of the branches and limbs of the trees and smash them into heaps one of them right in the middle of one of my paths across my property. Quite large limbs up to 1 foot thick were found in the heaps limbs of that size and also smaller which I instructed him to foot block., His Bobcat tore up the ground around the trees and left ruts and gouge marks all over the place when he finally finished work a week later ( he came back for a 2nd days work about a week later ) I found several trunks and large branches not properly cut up or even cut up at all will have to hire another tree cutter to finish job. It took me months to pull apart the heaps of branches to salvage and cut up the wood that I told him to do and weeks to repair the damage done by his Bobcat filling in all the gouges and rips on my property. In all I think this guy is only after your money if left to his own devices will take the shortest cuts to completing the job and it will not be to your specifications. DO NOT leave him to work on your property unsupervised ask if he will bring any heavy machinery on site and if so why ? Properly inspect his job on completion and do not pay him until he does it to your specifications. Finally I wouldn't recommend him or use him again. He took advantage of me not being around and he made a mess and left me a mess and was too expensive anyway.
