Herne's Butchery

The thick beef sausages are just THE BEST - on a consistent basis. I have sampled sausaged all through QLD and NSW and these are my favourite.

This is as good a butcher shop as I have been to. the staff are excellent and the meat better. Keep up the good work. The rack of lamb I bought was simply outstanding.

The meat is excellent but the staff (not the owner) have awful customer service attitudes! That a person might get a smile or even a friendly chat should still be part of a shopping experience. We actually drive to Mullum or Ballina now instead of visiting this butcher as staff are so sour grumpy that they border on mean. If one were to ask a question about meat the lady acts like you're a halfwit. We all tend to run out as quickly as we can and hear other customers saying 'I wonder what I did to offend her' as they leave outside. It's such a shame.

I brought my pork belly from here again it was so good , it completley cracked the crackling - you cant get better meat . Do your self a favour and make thi your next stop.
