You made me feel empowered, you cared. You are empathetic and when ever "I just didn't get " what you were telling me, you came at it from a different angle. I PASSED. Wahoo and I don't car what anybody thinks because I am confident in my ability.

After lots of lessons from another instructor where I was getting nowhere, I was recommended to Rod and within 6 lessons he had me test ready and successful. Rod is a great guy. Very patient, very friendly and an excellent instructor. Highly recommended.

I found Rod after having a not so great experience with another company. I had lost all confidence in my riding and wasn't sure I wanted to continue learning.
Rod made me a deal... When he got me to pass my test I would write him a review. He held up his end of the bargain and I am more than happy to write this review. Rod is patient and he adjusts his training method to best suit the student rather than giving a one way works for all approach. Highly recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough of Rod and his ability as a motorcycle instructor. When I first met Rod I had previously had training with another instructor but had stopped having lessons because I felt I was going nowhere. Right from the start, my experience with Rod was a positive one. He was immediately able to identify my weaknesses as well as riding skills I lacked confidence in. Not all riding concepts 'click' straight away and we all learn differently. Unlike my earlier experiences where I felt frustrated and anxious about my lessons, Rod was able to adapt his approach to learning until it made sense to me. This attention to detail and obvious interest in each student as an individual was what made all the difference.

Rod was able to give me all the skill, experience and advice I needed to pass my R-E licence on my first go. He is aware of what the examiners are looking for and knows the Midland area he works in. I felt that I was completely prepared for the test and anything the examiner would ask.

This however is not the most important thing that Rod taught me during my lessons. At all times, his focus is on producing a rider who is aware of the environment and what is going on around them. The result is not only someone who can pass the test - but someone who has been trained how to ride to survive on the roads. This is what I am most thankful for.

I continue to keep in contact with Rod and call him to ask about riding and motorcycles in general. I consider him not only a valuable source of information, but someone who is passionate about motorcycles and riding - and genuinely interested in me. He has listened with interest and enthusiasm how my initial desire to ride as a hobby has grown into a lifestyle where I now exclusively ride.

I would recommend him to anyone looking to ride a motorcycle, regardless of their location. "Convenience" should never be a deciding factor on who is best to prepare you for riding in the real world. You want the best.

Rod is a top quality instructor who is as cool as an ice cube in all situations. His calm and patient instructing style is second to none and he will do whatever it takes to impart his knowledge and experience in safe riding techniques. Rods patient and calm lessons ensured I passed my RE class test first time.
