One of Bendigo’s oldest hotels, the Rising Sun has been owned and operated by the Sheehan family for over 65 years, providing friendly service and great bistro dining. Centrally located, the Rising Sun can host functions, operates a seven day a week bottleshop and fully operational TAB.

Our bistro is open seven days a week, serving lunch from 11am–2pm and dinner from 5pm–8:30pm. The menu features a blend of pub classics and international fare, crafted to suit every palate. From tender steaks to vegetarian delights, each dish is prepared with care and served in a welcoming atmosphere. We also offer a pre-order service for those on tight schedules - just call ahead and your meal will be ready when you arrive. We also feature a fully operational TAB for those who enjoy a flutter, adding to the lively ambiance of our venue.

Our wine list showcases Bendigo’s finest shirazes and cabernets, supporting regional growers and offering guests a true taste of the area.
