I received what in my opinion was a low quality report, where the inspector failed to identify key issues a reasonable inspector should have identified. I have an ongoing QBCC complaint against this body and may be seeking further recourse. I suggest others seek out other suppliers with a higher Google track record.
In good conscience, it is worth noting my interactions with this business were positive. The business conducts itself in a professional and courteous manner.

I would not recommend using this company. We paid $450 up-front for a comprehensive building & pest inspection on a property we had a conditional offer on. We specifically asked them to be thorough in checking for any potential water damage/leaks in the bedroom walls & cupboard which backed onto the bathrooms. Were told everything was fine & the report marked everything as satisfactory. We went unconditional & then conducted our own pre-settlement inspection a few weeks later - immediately we noticed water damage in corner of bedroom that backs onto the bathroom... the exact place we specifically asked them to check.
Now we face the cost of fixing the leak & delays in having our new carpet installed. Not happy.
Quality Building Reports have not returned our phone calls to discuss.
Waste of money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I was (Nov. 2014) in the process of purchasing a property in Robina. My agent contacted this company on my behalf & instructed me to be there at inspections to ask all questions & to receive verbal feedback on the state of the property *prior* to this being reflected in written reports. ... CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT since cooling-off period was only 5 days & this was day 4!
The information I received on the day by John Carlaw - Building, & Ken Long - Pest DID NOT in any way reflect the info contained in the report. I was later to hear the terminology 'soft report' given by the Norman Thomson the owner to describe what I believe DID take place that day. Presumably to ensure that I left feeling no need to actually read the reports, as verbal information provided on the day suggested no need for concern - as "save for a few cracked tiles, the property has been well-maintained."
There were in fact issues of dodgy downpipes, severe termite risk, collapsing ceilings, badly built walls etc. etc. etc.
I am in the process of seeking a refund of the $440. I paid them through Fair Trading. I have also contacted the Qld Building & Construction Commission who have urged me to put in a 'notification of offense.' They do not want to give my money back, although the owner had already conceded a problem & offered to do my next service for free. On explaining that I could not possibly trust these men to do the job again, he started using intimidating tactics incl. accusing me of extortion, copying solicitors into emails, etc. They almost cost me $600,000. in the purchase of a property I was nearly forced to follow through with.
Please be very, very careful! I had felt that they were working for me. I was the one paying them. This was not reflected in the difference between the verbal report given on the day ... & the written report emailed to me THE DAY my cooling-off period ended.
Sincerely,
Becky.
