Dinner this evening started out well. Great even!
Our mains come and everything looks great, we get to the chicken wings we ordered and they’re pink, not just “oh they’re chicken wings they’re a little pink” I’m talking RAW CHICKEN. Both myself and my partner went in to speak with the staff about it and were met with dismissive, rude and hostile responses. My partner is a chef by trade and also works in a kitchen that smokes meat weekly and was told (mind you we were sitting out side and the chicken wings weren’t touched for a good 10 minutes after they came out) that they “temp checked it and it’s cooked” and “that’s nice that you’re A CHEF BY TRADE but chickens cooked, it’s smoked meat it’s going to be a little pink” again, it wasn’t “a little pink” - the bones were red and the entirety of the meat on the bones was raw.
It’s disappointing when you spend 80 something dollars on a meal and you’re met with nothing when you refuse to eat undercooked chicken. I can understand if they’re meant to be “a little pink” due to the smoking process but put it on the menu, tell everyone from the get go that it will come out like that.
Train your staff to be accommodating, for no offer of a replacement and or a refund (would have even settled for the $16-$18 that the wings were worth), and to also be incredibly rude, disrespectful and dismissive to two patrons who are telling you explicitly that they refuse to eat the main part of their meal and anything that has touched it, and lord knows that they won’t take the constructive criticism that they should put on the menu that the chicken will come out pink (which is still incredibly concerning and I know many a person who will not even consider eating pink chicken).
To top all this off, my partner has been sick twice on the way home honestly makes you feel like calling a health inspector.
