DON’T USE SOLOMON’S - STICK TO NATIONAL CHAINS THAT AREN’T FRANCHISES IN CASE THERE’S ISSUES

Like other customers, I have also had issues with the quality of the workmanship completed, and the inability to get it rectified. There are issues with the scotia and how it has been laid, and was told that it didn’t have to be perfect, even though it is already unsightly and breaking. Additionally, the stairs have been laid with very rough cuts, with nails sticking out and clearly visible. I was told by the installer they would be replaced, only to have found out he lied about talking to the store owner about getting new floorboards, and tried to hide it all with rough silicone. They left cigarette butts in my backyard and dirty walls. I have been dealing with [Name Removed] the owner/manager but he hasn’t responded to any correspondence after the initial complaint. I also reached out to the State Manager but was told there was little they could do because it’s a franchise. I would recommend going somewhere that isn’t a franchise so there’s the ability to take complaints higher. The only way to get resolution with Solomon’s is to take them to QCAT or dispute the transaction with your credit provider. It would appear that the current owner is floating on the reputation and reviews of the previous owner.

Damaged our walls. Takes no responsibility

Everything was great until it came to installation. We waited for carpet to be the last thing to be done after spending $14000 on a full rumpus room renovation so there would be no paint or other damage done to the carpet. The installers left 2 big black smudge marks on two seperate newly sheeted and painted walls. Emailed Solomon’s with a video we took the night before the install to show the nearly finished room to our family mentioning that all that was left was for the carpet to go in first thing the next morning showing no marks and photos of the damage. Solomons said they would speak to their installers. 3 weeks and nothing. The marks won’t come off. We have tried cleaning it that much that the walls are now damaged. Now out of pocket to repaint 2 large wall areas. Solomons should at least offer us some compensation and some of our money back but they couldn’t even be bothered to return our email.

We have nothing but great things to say about Solomons Flooring Brendale. We've bought from them on twice - the first time (2012) for carpet for our three bedrooms. The second time (2016) we bought a wood look vinyl. The customer service was always first rate and the products are fantastic. We always recommend them to our friends and family.

Customer service , very very rude, non-existant infact , rung up enquiring about vinyl floor products , because my local hardware was limited on flooring products , when we mentioned that we had looked at the hardwares flooring vinyl .Solomons phone sales/enquiries/consultant rudely told my mother to go back their. So much for store of the year, (SOLOMONS FLOORING BRENDALE) Saturday 4/10/2014 @ 1pm ....your website promotes 2pm closing time?
